About Guest Groups
Camp Carl has served as a premier retreat center in the northeast Ohio areas since 1964. Just a short drive from Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown, our comfortable and modern retreat facilities will exceed your expectations. Our exciting selection of group retreat activities will leave you with memories for a lifetime! We offer two types of retreat experiences, you can customize your guest group experience or opt in for a Camp Carl programmed retreat.
Customized Retreat
Plan your retreat utilizing Camp's welcoming facilities and our seriously fun activities. A Camp Carl host will serve your group while on site. Besides set meal times, the entire retreat is customizable— it’s your retreat!
Camp Carl Programmed Retreat
Camp Carl takes care of all the details so you can spend your time investing in your people! That’s right, we'll provide everything from the band and speaker to the activities and food. All you have to do is book it and show up. Our program is intentional to combine faith and fun— we prioritize FUN activities in order to connect with God in purposeful conversations and enriching learning environments. Day Retreat
Camp Carl facilities offer many limited options for groups or school organizations looking for a to place to meet, share, and grow together. We will serve your groups needs with meals, activities, and a meeting space or two. We do not offer meals for under 75 guests during the week. Feel free to participate in team-building initiatives and utilize the beautiful property with your own packed lunch! Available days and times: Monday afternoon through Friday morning.

Large Cabins
Sleeps 20 in each cabin, bunk bed style, full bathroom with 2 sinks and shower, fire pit with benches for each cabin, remodeled in 2016. 4 Large Cabins available (Cabins 10-13).
Small Cabins
SMALL CABIN FEATURES: Sleeps 12 in each cabin, bunk bed style, full bathroom with 2 sinks and shower, 2 changing rooms, fire pit with benches for each cabin, remodeled in 2016. 9 Small Cabins Available (Cabins 1-9).
Memorial Retreat Center (MRC)
Sleeps 31 in bunk beds, 7 rooms with different bunk bed arrangements, 3.5 full bathrooms with sink and shower, full kitchen with cooking supplies, K-cup coffee pot, living room with couches and wood fireplace, fire pit with benches, front and back decks, Heat and AC.
Adult Retreat Center (ARC)
Sleeps 23 in bunk beds, 6 rooms with different bunk bed arrangements, 6 full bathrooms with sink and shower, full kitchen with cooking supplies, K-cup coffee pot, living room with couches, front and back decks, Heat and AC.
Treehouse Villa
Sleeps 12 total, 4 triple bunk beds, full bathroom with sink; shower separate, couch, small table & stools, mini fridge, microwave, keurig, fire pit with picnic tables and hammocks.
Wilderness Yurts
Sleeps 12, new bunk beds and mattresses, separate small yurt that includes 2 flushing toilets and sinks (North Yurts only), and scenic decks. Available in late spring, summer, and early fall only. (North Yurts 1 & 2, South Yurts 3, 4, and 5)
Basement of the ARC (BARC)
Sleeps 22 total, bunk bed style. Located in the basement of the ARC, this cabin features both air conditioning and heat and a full bath with shower.
BARC 2
Sleeps 10 total, bunk bed style. Located in the basement of the ARC, this cabin features both air conditioning and heat and a full bath with shower.
Conestoga Wagons
Sleeps 8 in each wagon, bunk bed style, fully electric. Bathroom and showers nearby. Early Fall, Summer and Late Spring Only. 4 Wagons available.
Guest Group Options
Activities
Camp Carl offers excellent retreat activities for our guest groups. Whether you’re a youth group, an adult retreat, or corporate ministry, these unique challenging experiences will add the element of fun your group is looking for. For student ministries, these activities create an environment of togetherness and teamwork that is incredibly up lifting. Adult groups enjoy the challenge and thrill of activities that bring out the youth in them, and corporate groups benefit from the team building aspect of our retreat activities. When you speak with our staff to customize your retreat, make sure to add some unforgettable activities to your schedule.
Meeting Spaces
Our meeting spaces are fully equipped for both professional retreats and spiritual retreat meetings, and your retreat host will work hand-in-hand to set up your meeting space however you want with tables, chairs, music stands, and any AV and Audio equipment. Let us know how you want to customize your meetings space and it will be ready to go when you arrive!
Lodge
The Lodge accommodates all dining purposes during your stay here at Camp Carl. The facility allows for spacious, family-style seating for groups of all sizes.
If you’re expecting “just camp food” during your stay, think again— we are passionate about providing delicious, nutritious, and fresh food that demonstrates love and care to each guest. We also welcome your requests to meet dietary concerns and restrictions.
Worship Center
The worship center is equipped with a giant screen, a state of the art digital sound and lighting system, and accommodates up to 400 guests and a stage that encourages passionate worship. We typically arrange the chairs in a stadium style seating for worship and speaking purposes; ask and we can set up chairs up however you request!
The worship center is a multipurpose room that also contains a half-court basketball court, pickelball court, indoor climbing wall, and other sports equipment.
Game Room
The game room is located next to the worship center and offers multiple seating arrangements such as booths and tables for small groups. This room also provides an assortment of board games, darts, carpetball, pingpong ball, airhockey, and more!
Ask your host prior to your retreat for a beverage bar that can be provided in the game room bar. For $5 per person we can provide coffee, water, hot chocolate, and a choice of tea or lemonade that will be provided during your entire stay.

Base Rates
Camp Carl retreat pricing is a priced per person based on your requested package. A minimum number of 75 guests is required to book a retreat at Camp Carl on weekends. Prices are based on market price and are subject to change.
These are the standard packages provided but each package can be customized to best fit your retreat experience.

Most activities are priced per hour with the exception of Horse Trail Rides and Paintball are priced per person.

Ready to book a weekend retreat at Camp Carl?
Booking Policies
Once we receive the retreat booking request, we will contact you within 2 business days to confirm availability of the weekend you requested. We will let you know as soon as possible the approval and then take the next steps in creating your retreat contract!
A Camp Carl staff member will contact you asap with more details for your retreat and create a contract based on your requests. Once these details are confirmed we will send you a contract to sign. A deposit of 10% of your estimated retreat cost is required with the signed contract to officially book your retreat.
Your requested retreat date is not booked until your deposit and signed contract is received.
Cancelation Policy
You must cancel 30 days prior to your retreat date to receive your deposit back minus a $500.00 cancelation fee.
A cancelation within 30 days of your retreat date will require a $2,000 cancelation fee.
Total Guest Count Policy
We can accommodate groups less than 75 however we require a minimum charge of 75 guests based on your retreat package.
The deadline for final numbers of total guests attending in your group is 7 days prior to your retreat date. This group guest number is the number that will be charged for the remaining contract amount.
In the event that less guests come than previously communicated on the deadline date you will still be charged the contracted amount.
Once we receive the final guest count additional guests can be added but if over 5 extra guests a fee will be added to your total cost.
Final Payment
The remaining invoice amount will be due within 7 days of your last day of your retreat. A statement will be provided by your host to confirm the final payment.
